When you hear the phrase "two shall become one" , what does it mean? Two people that is a man, and a woman with different upbringing, background, social life, parents,  temperament coming together to become one flesh, united with a purpose and vision.  This statement was made by God Himself in the garden of Eden (Gen 2:24) when He created man in His image and after the presentation of Eve to Adam. What are we to become one flesh in? 1. In Marriage. 2. In the word of God and the things of God: by reading and studying the word of God; living the word of God; praying; procreation/parenting; evangelism. What reason is a man and woman are to become one? They are of the same bones, same flesh for she was taken out of the man. The woman must be submissive in all she does, likewise, the man must love his wife wholeheartedly for him to know that they are one flesh. Forgive yourself first. Release the need to replay a negative situation over and over again in your mind.  Don't become a hostage to your past by always reviewing and reliving your mistakes. Don't rend yourself of what should have, could have or world have been.  Release it and let it go.  Move on!
