The world we live in today requires more than good intentions; it requires wisdom, discernment, and spiritual alertness. Not everyone who smiles with you truly means well, and not every opportunity or voice should be trusted blindly. Sometimes the enemy works quietly through deception, pressure, confusion, or people with harmful intentions. This is why God calls His children to stay watchful and wise. Being spiritually alert does not mean living in fear or suspicion of everyone around you. It means learning to pray before acting, thinking carefully before speaking, and allowing God to guide your decisions, relationships, and actions. Wisdom protects you from many unnecessary battles. You Are Not Beyond God’s Mercy Some people smile in public but quietly carry heavy regret inside. Strength in Times of Temptation Temptation is something everyone faces. Sometimes it shows up when you are tired, discouraged, lonely, or emotionally overwhelmed.   Our Ultimate Refuge There are seasons when everything feels uncertain—when the economy shifts, security feels fragile, and the future looks unclear. In moments like this, it’s easy for fear to creep in and take hold of the heart. But God reminds us that even when things around us are shaking, He remains unshaken. God is not distant in times of crisis. He is present, right in the middle of it all—your refuge, your strength, and your help. When systems fail and situations change, He stays constant and dependable. You may not have control over everything happening around you, but you can choose where to stand. Stand in Him. “Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly… and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.” ( Psalm 1:1–3) Beloved, Psalm 1 reminds us that true blessing begins with choice. The blessed person is not defined by what they possess, but by the path they deliberately refuse to walk—rejecting ungodly counsel, harmful influences, and destructive patterns. Instead, they are rooted in God’s Word, delighting in it daily and allowing it to shape their thoughts, decisions, and actions. The psalmist paints a powerful image: a tree planted by rivers of water. This speaks of a life positioned intentionally—nourished, stable, and fruitful in every season.
