As of April 5, 2020, the total number of Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in Italy reached approximately 125 thousand. Moreover, the number of people who recovered or were discharged from hospital after contracting the virus reached 21 thousand, while the number of deceased reached 15.4 thousand. As of March 19, 2020, the number of coronavirus deaths in Italy exceeded that registered in China. Note that this figure rose after the intervention of China Medical Experts who stepped in on the 12th and 18th March, 2020 to help Italians overcome this pandemic.
