ITS YOUR CHOICE TO CHANGE

Dear friends,

Change is a fundamental action that happens in everybody's life. It occurs daily in such little increments that we don't even notice. Change means to undergo alteration or to become different. It is often said that the only constant thing in life is change. All of us have changed over a given period. Changes have occurred and still occur physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually in our lives. Probably we have made some terrible mistakes in life that have made us foolish, but some decisions we made have transformed our lifestyle and made us more mature rather than regretting and remaining in the pit of failure.

Friends, we are expected to make some deliberate changes in our lives. Such choices include:

1.   Spending quality time with God: This should be our first and foremost priority. Spending quality time with God results in a quality life. We should never get too big for God or drop God out of our lives probably because He is too slow in answering us so we choose to seek other alternatives. But to whom shall we go? God alone has the words of wisdom and eternal life (See John 6:68). And He said we should ask him for it. You can spend quality time with God through studying the Bible, praying, meditating, fasting, listening to godly music, and other activities that foster your spiritual growth in Christ Jesus. Just know that there is no fast rule about this.

2.   Standing up on the inside: Know who you are, change, and modify yourself for God's use. Be a person of integrity and never lie. If you have done that before, this is another opportunity for you to change. It is not too late.
No matter the negative words said to you by men before now: "You are good for nothing; You can never make it in life; You are the dullest person I have ever met; I will see what you will become; Are you truly alright?" Do not be discouraged, but rather, let it be a challenge to make you achieve the purpose of your existence. Look deep within you for there is something great in you. Pray and say positive things to yourself, tell yourself: "I am not a failure, I am great" Never give up on your dreams, encourage yourself. Build a Christ-like attitude of love, faith, and hope. (See John 13:34-35; 1 John 5:4-5; Romans 5:5)

3.     Getting up, cleaning up, and moving up: Don't remain in the pit of defeat and failure, get up, clean up, and move forward. Do not blame anyone for your failure. The faster you admit it, the faster and better the healing process. Believe that God has forgiven you since you have asked him to do so but never go back to your vomit because you are not a dog. Believe in God and also in yourself. Be hardworking, self-disciplined, and dedicated. Remember the devil finds work for idle hands to do. So stand up to be who God wants you to be by walking towards the direction He is leading you. Get up, clean up, and move towards your greatness, for God's plans towards you are of good and evil.

4.   Never give up. No matter the situation, tell yourself, I am not giving up because God has not given up on me. Change brings opposition, but remember when you hold on till the end, you will be victorious in Christ Jesus. Great people don't have fewer problems in life. They are however determined that nothing can and will stop them from moving forward. So, no matter the obstacles set before you, entrust all before God and at the same time say to yourself: "I will succeed, I am great and so I will not give up, forward ever, backward never because I am an over-comer in Jesus name, Amen”. No pain, no gain!

So are you willing to change? The choice is yours. Remain rapturous!
